What is UCSD-NGS Engineers for Exploration?
The UCSD-NGS Engineers for Exploration program is a first of its kind institutional partnership between UC San Diego and the National Geographic Society that provides the resources, opportunity and platform for students to engage in real-world engineering challenges that directly impact the world of exploration.
Project objectives include:
- Innovative technology development for conservation, exploration, remote sensing and imaging;
- Hands-on collaborative team-working between UC San Diego students, researchers, NGS engineers and NGS explorers;
- Prototype, build and deploy of field ready tools on National Geographic expeditions .
